REGISTER NOW AT https://smash.gg/tournament/league-balance-patch-v1-0 and https://events.na.leagueoflegends.com/events/277534 (to be eligible for Riot prizing)

You asked for it, and we’re proud to announce that Balance Patch will be hosting its first ever League of Legends tournament in mid-October! This will be an all-day in-person event, with check-in beginning at noon and the first matches of the day at 12:30pm. For this first tournament, we will only be accepting full teams of 5 but will look to open up these events to solo players and smaller groups in the near future. Please see below for additional details and rules, and future updates will be posted in this event as the date draws nearer.

——-
Registration:

– All teams must register on the official League of Legends event page at least 24 hours in advance.

– 8 full teams of 5 only (no subs), first come first serve

– Only player restrictions are that each player be level 30, with 16+ champions available (enough for draft pick)

* We will have a waiting list of teams in case of no-shows

– $15/person, paid on the day of the tournament

– Players are allowed to bring their own peripherals, but do note teams will only have a limited time to set up and test their equipment before their matches

——-
Schedule:

* All matches prior to the finals will be Best of 1s played on Summoner’s Rift. Each team will select one player as team captain to play rock/paper/scissors for side selection before each match. Each team will also get at least one opportunity to play their match in one of our semi-private gaming booths.

Teams will be drawn randomly into 2 groups of 4 to compete in round-robin style. Each team will play the other 3 teams in their group once, with the top two teams in each group moving on to the next round. (Average victory game time will be used in case of tie breakers).

The #1 seed from each group will play the #2 seed from the other group, with the winners advancing to the finals and the losers moving on to the 3rd/4th place match.

* Teams are responsible for having all players ready at the designated start times of their matches. If all players are not ready in the lobby after the allocated setup time, that team automatically forfeits their matchup.
